Our Achievements


Sverdlovsk Region Governor's Award in the field of Energy Saving was established in 2010.It is awarded for efficient use of energy resources and reduction of energy share in product costs as well.


UTW won the Sverdlovsk Region Governor's Award 2015 in the field of Energy Saving in the category Machine Building Company. The plant was honored for achieving high performance in terms of energy saving and growth of energy efficiency. The program for reduction of energy share in product costs is being implemented at UTW in several ways, first of all — in the course of modernization of production facilities.



TechUp Rating is being held since 2012.  The purpose of the rating is promotion of domestic high-tech companies in the internal and international markets. The leaders of the rating are rapidly developing high-tech companies from different regions of the Russian Federation, which have been demonstrating stable above-the-average performance within their industry for the last three years.


 Ural Turbine Works was included in the top of the rating as a large rapidly developing company and a production plant with high export potential. During the period of 2012-2014, Ural Turbine Works increased its total revenue by 49%. Along with that, the share from sales of new and significantly improved products in the total volume of the revenue amounted to not less than 94%. Almost every turbine produced by UTW was a new and high-tech product. In this period, the plant implemented 36 project in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Mongolia and Serbia. The awarding ceremony for the winners of TechUp Rating was held as a part of Forum and Technology Show — Open Innovations.

Development Award is a national annual competition organized by Vnesheconombank in 2012 in order to simulate investment activities and form an attractive and congenial investment climate in Russia.


Ural Turbine Works became a winner in the category Best Export Project for the implementation of the project on enlargement of CHPP-4 in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). The project implemented in Ulaanbaatar was the largest construction project in power industry of Mongolia for the last 20 years. For Ural Turbine Works it was the first export supply of new generation turbine equipment outside the CISfor ten years as well as the first package EPC-contract implemented by the plant which provided for engineering, supply of equipment and construction. At Ulaanbaatar CHPP-4 Ural turbine Works installed a new turbine generator with steam turbine Т-120/130 — the new turbine model developed by the plant. Construction works at the CHPP started in February 2014, and the first megawatts of electricity were produced as early as in March 2015. As a result, total power capacity of the entire Mongolian energy system was increased by 15%, and the growing demand for energy resources in the country was covered up to 2018.



Competition“Russian Organization of High Social Efficiency” is held annually from 2000. Its purpose is to focus public attention on the importance of solving social issues at company level. The competition allows identifying the best social projects contributing to creation of a positive social image.
This competition is an opportunity for companies to demonstrate their active corporate policy, achievements in personnel development, improvements in working conditions and occupational safety, development of social partnership, formation of healthy lifestyle, etc.


Ural Turbine Works took the third place in the regional stage of all-Russian competition — Organization of High Social Efficiency in the category For Development of Human Resources in Companies of Production Industry. Over the last few years, Ural Turbine Works actively implements several programs targeted at the development of human resources: Labour Pool, target training of specialists, and Mentoring.



Regional Competition of Industry and Innovations “Achievement” is held annually. The competition was established by the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, Sverdlovsk Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Federation of Trade Unions of the Sverdlovsk Region.

The organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region. The competition operator is “Expert-Ural” Analytical Center. The winners are selected by the Expert Council arranged from the representatives of authorities, scientific community, business associations and mass media.


Ural Turbine Works was recognized the winner of the annual Regional Competition of Industry and Innovations — Achievement in the category “Efficient Labor”.In this category, the enterprises which created or modernized the highest number of high-performance work placesare awarded. This is one of the priorities in the development of regional production industry.
